I wait for the wind to brush through, my only love
I spread my hands, dance with him,
Though momentary, yet mesmerizing.
I do witness stages of life-
Children playing around, their chuckles and fights
Lovers holding hands, never enough of each other
Loners lost in thoughts, hoping to find solace
By dusk-shroud and processions
I comfort those who come to me, lair for the robins
Be it the scorching sun, storm or snow
Such agony, but I never run and hide.
All I am...is nothing but a tree,
Peaceful and silent, full of colors,
Tantalizing it can be, but... with a bleating heart.
I spread my hands, dance with him,
Though momentary, yet mesmerizing.
I do witness stages of life-
Children playing around, their chuckles and fights
Lovers holding hands, never enough of each other
Loners lost in thoughts, hoping to find solace
By dusk-shroud and processions
I comfort those who come to me, lair for the robins
Be it the scorching sun, storm or snow
Such agony, but I never run and hide.
All I am...is nothing but a tree,
Peaceful and silent, full of colors,
Tantalizing it can be, but... with a bleating heart.
